ReplyDeleteIf you could provide scans for volume 33, I'd worship the ground you walk on.
My guess is that 33-35 are from our friend /a/non. I've seen a few torrents out there that have 1-32 from CY and 33-35 from /a/non
ReplyDeleteStill, I think someone should port the Dragon Guard or Chuang Yi/Viz translation of the first eight volumes of PokéSpe, if only for consistency's sake. Just my belief, though.

ReplyDeleteJust a quick question/statement about the Chung Yi translation. Do we use the name Clear Bell over Invisible Bell, since that's the name in game? Oh and Tin Tower is still Tin Tower right?

ReplyDelete@simon: Oh, yea, that should be 63 dpi. Otherwise you'll have to change your font sizes
ReplyDelete@link: Use the localized games' names for everything other than Blue/Green, which should be the same as the Japanese naming (Blue = girl, Green = rival). I think everyone else is using Chris.

You guys will also probably get 30 and 32, but since that's DP I guess it'll be up to a/non whether you guys do it, he does it, or no one does, lol.

There's one minor change that I made, because I thought it'd make more sense for Yellow to call Crystal "Chris-san" in the panel right before Crystal says "you don't have to be so formal!" Because there's absolutely nothing formal about the English translation. ^^
Personally, I would go for "Ms. Chris" just because of the alliteration, but whatever floats your boat :P.

Hm. I guess it could. I copied that exactly from the CY translation though ._. It could be just a statement and not a question, but then it'd be an oddly worded statement... -debates with self-
ReplyDeleteI've made minor changes from CY in most of my chapters for various reasons, such as rewording awkward sentences, fixing grammar, or changing punctuation from periods to question marks.
ReplyDeleteI have too, but I can't be bothered to fix just this one, since it still could make sense. My inner editor would scream if I blindly copied from CY, considering all the misspellings, grammar mistakes, and whatnot there is in there. They even spell the names of Pokemon wrong, for goodness sakes x-x
